Terms of service
These terms cover your use of this site, which runs Doorcamper and is run by evolv.systems ([email protected]). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. Please also read the privacy policy (/privacy), which explains what is stored and why.
Your account
- Accounts are by invite only. You sign in with Steam, and each account is tied to one Steam account that you've shown is yours. Don't sign in for, or share your account with, anyone else.
- You're responsible for what's done with your account. Tell evolv.systems straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- You must be old enough to use Steam where you live (at least 13, or older where the law says so).
What's recorded when you sign in
Every time you sign in, the site records when, how (Steam, Discord or password), your IP address and roughly where it is, your browser and device, and which Steam or Discord account you used. It also checks whether the Steam accounts you sign in with or link have VAC or game bans. This helps keep accounts and the site safe. Only the site's super admins can see it, and it's stored encrypted.
You can ask evolv.systems ([email protected]) to delete your account at any time. That deletes everything in it, including your sign-in record.
If your Steam account has a VAC or game ban
If any Steam account you've signed in with or linked here has a VAC ban or a game ban, nothing about your account is deleted, even if you ask. Your account is closed instead: you can't sign in to it or make a new one with that Steam account, and everything in it is kept: your sign-in record (with IP addresses and places), the Steam and Discord accounts you used, the players you tracked, your labels, notes, tags, teams, base marks, reports and settings. This applies whether the ban came before or after you joined.
Using Doorcamper fairly
Doorcamper shows information that Steam and BattleMetrics already make public, to help you keep track of Rust players. You agree not to use it to:
- harass, threaten, stalk or intimidate anyone, in the game or outside it;
- find, collect or share anyone's real-world identity or location, or contact them off Steam or Rust because of what you saw here;
- break Steam's, BattleMetrics', Facepunch's or a game server's rules, or the law;
- overload, probe, scrape or try to get around the site's limits or security, or reach data that isn't yours;
- resell the site's data or access to it.
Anyone can hide their own Steam account from this site on the Don't get found page (/hide), and ask for their information to be removed. Respect that.
Plans and payments
- The site is free to use right now. If paid plans are added, they will be one-time passes, never subscriptions, and these terms will say how they work.
- Plans given by an admin can be changed or removed by the site's admins.
Your content
Labels, notes, tags, base marks, reports and screenshots you add stay yours. You let the site store and show them to you and to the teams you share them with. Don't add anything you don't have the right to share, or anything that breaks these terms.
Ending your account
You can stop using the site at any time; ask evolv.systems to delete your account. Evolv.systems may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms or put the site or other people at risk, and may change or stop the site at any time.
No guarantees
The site is provided as it is. Steam and BattleMetrics information can be late, missing or wrong, alerts can be delayed or not arrive, and the site may be unavailable at times. Don't rely on it for anything important. As far as the law allows, evolv.systems isn't liable for any loss that comes from using the site, and, for a paid plan, any liability is limited to what you paid for it.
Not affiliated
Doorcamper is not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by Valve, Steam, Facepunch Studios, Rust or BattleMetrics. Their names belong to their owners.
Changes
These terms may change. If they change in a way that matters, the site will say so. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
